Would you like to bloom in a new way? 🌺 This workshop integrates the theme of transformation with the life cycle of flowers as a metaphor for personal, artistic, and ecological change. Participants will engage in a collaborative artwork using botanical elements, recycled materials, and ephemeral techniques. The focus will be on growth, decay, rebirth, and impermanence, key themes in both nature and artistic practice.

Half-Day (3-4 hours) – A dynamic introduction to transformation through ephemeral art.

CAROLINA DEL PILAR

Visual Artist

I am an artist based in Berlin with Colombian roots. My great passion is the study of the sciences and their possible application in artistic work. My intention is to create works, which challenge the viewer to engage with the work, in terms of space, material and perception, in a dialogue between the viewer and the material.

My art reflects an interest in traditional techniques, symbolism and materials. Through research and experimentation I am able to connect and find a language with the material, making it a primary and conceptual part of the work.

I draw in large formats (up to seven metres) with different types of chalk, charcoal and some of its derivatives. These works are the result of a performative overdrawing. This process of physical engagement with the materials leaves visible and audible traces on the paper and the soundtrack. In this way, pulsating macro and microcosms are created in the same image, a game of perception.

Eliana is a Berlin-based artist and philosopher, born in Tunja, Colombia.  She is committed to bridging the realms of art, philosophy, and science. Her work is deeply guided by her sensitivity and a profound desire to connect, using art to express what words cannot, fostering deeper understanding and compassion across disciplines, cultures, and individuals. 

Through her interdisciplinary work that explores the complexities of human existence and our relationship with the environment, she creates immersive site-specific installations spanning photography, painting, sculpture, sound, and video, with a focus on sustainability and environmental ethics.
